Social Studies 

2nd Grade: Standard 10- States, Nations, and Nation- States

Students are to collect all of their states by a certain date and when that deadline is here, the teacher will hand out a piece of paper with all of the states on them. The states will not have the

 

Standard 10: Students analyze and evaluate the physical and human geographic factors that contribute to the formation of states (countries) and the forces that function to either unite and bind a country together or to divide a country.

 

Stack the States makes learning fun! Students are able to learn the states, capitals, flags, shapes, abbreviations, nicknames, location and more! For every level the students complete another random state appears on their personal map. With every state they are able to learn so much about that state. 

 

Sociolculture theory touches base on educating those about things that are beyond their hometown. By reading about the different states, students are able to learn about their culture and traditions. Ultimately promoting their cognitive development by using Stack the States app.
