 2nd Grade: Standard 12- Global Change

 

Students are to pick a well-known, historical figure out of a hat the teacher has put names into. Once they get their assigned historical figure, they are to create a mini presentation on that person giving a little bit of background information on what made them so historical. They are to do this assignment by using the Bookabi app’s backgrounds, images, illustration and amazing video feature!

 

Standard 12- Global Change: Students examine the human causes of change to the environment on a global scale along with the impact of these changes on the lives of humans.

 

One of many available FREE apps that creates story books. Bookabi offers a fun and easy way to keep students engaged. The app allows students to add images, include generic illustrations, and use the fun video aspect.

 

Information processing theory explains how students process information.The historical figures are only one person with a reason to stand up for what they believe in.  By having the students find information about their historical figure, it helps them process how we have become the nation we are today.
