Kindergarten: Standard 1

Each student will pick a picture to color that relates to their everyday life. With each picture, I will have them tell me how the picture relates to their life, what all is in the picture and what the different colors are.

 

 K.1.5: Discuss and identify how and where art is used in everyday life such as home, school, or community.

 

ABCmouse teaches a variety of different subjects. It includes games, learning activities, puzzles, songs, art and much more! This app allows you to help your student in whatever they are struggling with and makes learning FUN. Not only is it extremely fun but it is also super safe for all of the children. There is neither advertising nor any way for a third party to reach the kid / student.

 

Sternberg triarchic theory on creative intelligence relates to this project by having the picture represent what the child likes and applying it to their life. By doing so, the students are able to learn better by association with their personal lives. Sternberg knew that kids had differed when it came to an individual's intelligence and came up with this concept to help students learn in a different way.
